A little about your Hosts Chris and Cindy Ahlers

After taking over the reins at Lavender Lane B&B in 2016, with hard work and determination we have managed to satisfy our guests to the best of our ability.

By focusing on our guest and placing their needs first we have managed to build a comfort zone so that every guest can feel home when they walk into our “Home away from Home”.

What is Lavender Lane all about?

Clean and comfortable beds, fitted with crisp white linen, friendly staff, mouth-watering food, free wi-fi, DSTV, free parking, and that’s not all. The 2000 squared metre indigenous garden offers shaded seating areas in the garden for those seeking calmness, peace of mind or even the avid bird watcher, the garden is a real feast for the eye!

All our rooms are decorated in natural tones and are fitted with Air-conditioned or Ceiling Fans. Flat screen TV’s with DSTV decoders will keep you occupied while chilling in your seating area in your room, making a coffee or tea that is supplied by the coffee station that is in every room.

If you are fortunate enough to join us for our dinner extravaganza, you will realize at breakfast the next morning, that the apple wood smoked Bacon that is served with our Full-English breakfast is a much talked about game changer. A lunch pack can be arranged by prior arrangement.

Walking distance to Lenmed (Laverna Private Hospital) and right opposite Ladysmith High School, we are a 5 min walk to the centre of town – The Oval Chopping Mall, and Murchison Mall, Spioenkop Nature Reserve is 47 km away, and the Central and Northern Drakensberg Mountain range is within a 2 hours’ drive from Ladysmith. 347 KM from Johannesburg and 246 KM from Durban.
